Animal in repose sculpt

Well I decided to join up to another cgtalk challenge -to be finished before the 20th July-(I may be a little distracted by the birth of my first child).
My start up base mesh is done in Max/Maya, still looks a little too doggy-will eventually be reworked into full wolf status.

All Heil ZBrush

Well I finally bit the bullet and I am using Zbrush again, the coders who knocked up Zbrush were definitely from the Kai's Power Goo school of design, but hell this app has some lovely add ons- and some great (though very well hidden) tools.
Slowly transferring data from Mudbox- will most likely use both apps.
Anyway here is the Latest WIP -
(the resolution is a little low on the uploaded version below- but gives one the idea).

No this will not wind up as a user rant at Autodesk for keeping the lid on Mudbox2 for soo long soo tight. (Promise!!!!!)

Silhouette sketches

Just going back to basic during my lunch hour- pre- thinking for the Dominance WarIII comp that I am thinking of entering- we will see if I have the time.

Old man

Initially this started as a rough Mudbox sketch based on the drawing, I then re-topologised and reworked the base mesh (allowing for animation if needed). There is lots more detailing still to do as I am making him older than the reference drawing. I hope to unwrap and texture him and do a good render of him.

Head Test (video)

Just a test video of a texture mapped head tutorial I am doing for work. Using a high resolution mesh, generating the usual normal, specular and diffuse maps from that.
