My challenge to myself – I am to do a weekly quick sculpt – no more than two lunch breaks.

GOALS: Primarily an artisanal exercise but will move into a conceptual phase at some point as well.
Improve observation (seeing).
Improve my conceptual skulls/exercises.
Increase my speed/confidence in medium.
A CREATIVE treat - work is so technical and restrictive.
Free my mind from technical restrictions

Cloth studies
Kit bash conceptual exercises

No more than 2 hours per weekly exercise.
Duration 6 months ,starting week of 25 October2010 = 26 sculpts studies taking me to April 2011

Playing in Mudbox

Test texture painting in  Mudbox.
I  have been playing with mudbox  texure painting- I think the mudbox  viewport can  hide a world of bad texturing  issues when you  put on all  the shaders- but  seems to work-  a pity  you  have to create  your PSD  layers  from  within mudbox.

CharlesB re- topo

Started to build an all qaud base face topology  for Charles Bronson sculpt today. This is  to be used to  transfer the current 3DCoat detail  into  ZBrush, for further higher resolution detailing. (Topology  is  also  designed to support animation - if this project grows may  test out some face poses)

Velasques Update

Added beard, reworked some of face and hand and  fixed weird holes  that have appeared in the mesh - possibly from when I reposed the base mesh and reprojected subdivisions - all on one layer  - machine tends to fall over when using many layers  in Zbrush4.

FatMan Update

Body is blocked  out - will concentrait  on the  head and  upper chest area-  start reworking removing symetry and general look at skin wrinkles  lumps etc....

Some sculpts in progress which I need to  finish off this month - The mutant fat man I think will need to spend another 4 hours or so to finish him off, the head needs more detail - will also  finish  of his body and give  him a modesty loin cloth. He is based  of  off one of concept artist Min Yums  cool sketches
